MUSIC SCHOOL
The two times Oscar Award winner A R Rahman’s soul lies with three factors, Music, Music and Music. Everything rahman achieved is only because of music, so as a way to give back to music he planned of establishing an institution for making great musicians, with a view point of training and producing great musicians to the world. The K M Music conservatory (KMMC) was founded on 2008 was a dream come true moment for him. KMMC started with an objective of defining the future of music with the motto “Become the future of Music”. The conservatory
molds the students who are passionate in varied fields of music like
vocals, instruments, sound design and technological aspects of
music with an audio media education facility. KMMC has a
collaborative partnership with Middlesex University, UK. The
guidance of prominent musicians and technicians with violinist L
Subramaniam on its advisory board enables a quality education for
the aspiring Musicians.
Rahman’s vision influenced many other musicians on taking such initiatives for the enhancement of passionate musicians and trains them for being the future of Music. Rahman once said” My motto is to pave the way for new forms of music without upsetting the sanctity of music, the result was the KM Music Conservatory.
